Curveball
Here is your guide for building a curve with bite. As you develop consistency with your release, start identifying which of these drills help you find your release and spin easiest. You don't need to perform every drill in this library every time you practice—be efficient. Find the ones that help you feel your pitch best and focus your time there to maximize your results.

With curve, you’ll see in the video that we want to put an emphasis on our fingers, NOT our wrist, because our fingers are what spins the ball.
With curve, we want to make sure we’re still throwing straight! No turning or pulling the pitch, and keeping a smooth finish.
When we’re throwing at 75%, we are feeling out our pitch. With curve, we want to make sure that we’re staying on our line, and feeling our fingers working, NOT our wrist or arm.
Now that we’re throwing full, we want to implement everything we’ve worked on thus far, making sure our finish is smooth and effortless, and focusing on throwing straight. Remember, our fingers spin the ball, not by pulling our arm.
I love the 14 inch ball for curves! It really teaches you to be patient, throw straight, and use your fingers. It’s frustrating at first, but once you get it, it makes a huge difference.
The 14 inch ball is a great tool for any part of your pitch progression, but I really love having my pitchers throw it from the mound to get the most out of it.
